Wooden Vespa
It’s in our my nature, we I love all things wood. We marvel at the bamboo bikes, bamboo piano (ok bamboo aint exactly wood), wooden chests, wood furniture, wooden clocks, Tiger Woods, etc. And now comes this wooden ride. If you like wooden stuff, you love driving around the village and you’d like to be the center of attraction, this wood Vespa should do the trick. Awesome job by Carlos Alberto. Check out the wood grains, the kickass inlays and the fine finish. I wonder how much this unique Vespa costs.

In the middle of the night, this is what we are doing. Light painting.
Notes on shoot: I used LED flashlight, 30 secs exposure, i used a tripod, i walked across the frame to paint the heart + L + Q, shot at around 11:00pm, in the background is the LUFE Dining table & chair set-up, shot inside our new “LALOLAS SPRAWLING” studio.

I encourage you to try this site AMIKASA. A fun online tool where you can work on the interior of your house or room. An online site where you can build your house and test furnish your home to see what looks good and what furniture pieces perfectly fit your space.
Just make sure you got good net connection ‘coz the application needs some to loading and initialization so you work online without hiccups. You also need to have the right browser plugin installed (adobe shockwave).
You can work out from scratch or start with box type or template house or room area. The process of filling up the floors with furniture is via drag and drop. After your work, you can save your file locally (it says .hx file extension) and later, reload your saved file online and continue working on it. Or, you can also do the old fashion way of making a hard copy and print it and proudly show it to your hubby (or wifey).
It’s a free app so why not try it. I did.
If symptoms persist that you’re not architectural – software savvy, consult your nearest interior designer or architect and let them do the job.
You may have missed our Kamagong Thai Buddha, we posted it last September 2. It’s a consistent seller. And why not? For a kamagong (iron wood) handsome woodwork, we priced it only P3800. This can go over P6000 in other furniture stores in the Philippines.

The S-COUPE Table debuted last July 28 2009 in brown varnish finish. S-COUPE (read as “scoop”) is an end table – side table – center table multi-purpose table. It has a wonderful second function too, use as storage box.

Ooops, it’s alreadsy Tuesday! The face of the week post pops out every Monday. But am posting herewith still. This is our 8th Face of the Week post (12 more to go!). Based from the classic cheezy Jestoni Alarcon movie, Ang lihim ng Golden Buddha, we scour the house for some jewel-like items to have that theme.
This photo titled “Lihim ng Silver Buddha.” The secret is, none of the peripheral accessories in the picture is worth as much as the gold bars of Jestoni, aka, Rogelio Roxas.
Too bad, this metal tribal necklace could have been a nice accessory to the shoot of the silver Buddha. It arrived later.

A trip to Bataan (and Pampanga of course) and you’ll get to see these roadside Christmas lantern, lights and related items vendors (assuming you’ll not use the SCTEX) along San Fernando Highway, Pampanga.
You’ll get good bargains, the larger Pampanga-made lanterns cost is around only P2500.00 (last price is P2000 says the chief operating Kabalen). I believe we’ll not get that price if bought inside Metro Manila Christmas lantern shops. The Santa Claus with reindeer piped running lights, the price is P2500 but persistent haggling and you’ll get to the bottom price of P2200.00. We bought some for our graden.
By the way, at San Fernando Pampanga, that’s the home of some fine furniture makers & home furnishing suppliers, we got some contacts there. If you’re looking for some classical & country looking home furniture, furniture from Pampanga can be a an uber-option.
See that eh? That’s one cool abaca table top accessory. A placemat, a vase mat or pure table top accent. Sort of.
It’s actually a wall display set. But thanks to my idols Lapu-lapu, Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio and Ninoy, we’re living in a free society. I read the Civil Code of the Philippines, went trough the Philippine Constitution and I recited the preamble 8 times, and now I know, there’s no law prohibiting us from using a wall accent to a table accent.
BTW, countrymen, today is Bonifacio Day.
