Condo Furniture

condo01-13I’m checking the website logs, and I saw online Philippine furniture hunters were searching for “condo furniture” and “condominium furniture.” And the great news (well, at least for us) is, some of them landed in here, the House of Leoque. And lucky all, we do have some “condo-sized” furniture designed and custom-made for condominiums.

With Philippine condominiums going as low as 20 square meters (studio units), space is a premium. Owners should be able to maximize the space without ever sacrificing comfort of living and the functionality of the furniture. Think proportion & scale.

Living in a condo is far more different than living in a single detached home, same is true for the furniture in it. And so much care, research, thought, measurements are needed before finally deciding what to get.

It is recommended too to sought the professional, friendly (or in my case, family) advise of an interior designer or architect to achieve a more functional & sophisticated home furniture selection.

You cannot expect to get all your condominium furniture & decorative accents in one source by the way. Getting it from one source I believe is a mistake. You should find the courage to mix & match styles to make one interesting home design. More & more, I’ve seen  lot of simpler & newer lines of furniture both in the internet and inside furniture showrooms in the city. That’s where your furniture research & educated advise will come in.

Condo living provides an ideal setting for urban dwellers but a lot of the comfort depend on the furniture you pick. And so, good luck on your condominium buying spree!

Tidbits:

  • And another super great news (again, for us), people are “googling” the word LEOQUE or LEOQUE FURNITURE like it is a furniture brand name. From a year ago, when the word “leoque” basically don’t exist commercially (I think it’s a surname in foreign country) to a word being googled and searched, this is s exciting.
  • Just like to share that, my estimate is that, 50% of our product photos are shot inside our model condominium unit. I’m beginning to think, we can call our furniture shop… The Condo of Leque instead of House of Leoque.” :-P

Philippines: ALL ABOUT CONDOS

Nowadays, it is common to hear the word condo. The word ‘condominium’ has Latin roots - con, which means together, and dominium, which means property. According to Wikipedia, condos usually consist of a large complex whose individual units are sold. It can be an apartment, house, townhouse, or a unit in an apartment house in which the units are individually sold. The owner of each individual unit technically owns everything from their walls inward and all of the individual unit owners share rights to the common areas like the elevators, hallways, pools, and other facilities.

Living in a makati condo is not the same as living in a townhouse, apartment, or a single house. The dual nature of a condo in Philippines or anywhere else makes it different from other dwelling units. Aside from holding title to their units, condominium owners also share responsibility for the operating costs of the common areas of the condominium. All condominium owners agree by a set of Rules and Regulations particularly made for their condominium.

However, it may still be a good idea to look for a condo for sale Philippines because owning and living in a condominium may still be less expensive than other types of home ownership especially when you consider the amenities and facilities that come with it. On the other hand, condominium corporations may set restrictions on such things as owning pets, or having an outdoor barbeque. Conduct in the common areas can be strictly regulated through the condo board amending, changing and/or redrafting the Rules and Regulations. Most of the time, the monthly maintenance fee is charged. This covers water, a portion for maintaining and up keeping the building and grounds, and building insurance. Because of these additional responsibilities, it is important to carefully read everything if you are planning to buy a condominium.

There is a growing trend towards owning and living in a condo. This is particularly popular among single parent families and single young professionals because living in a condo eliminates the worry of lawn mowing, maintaining plants, yard maintenance, maintenance of the exterior of a house like paint, roof, and many more.

Condominium Furniture Store Philippines

We can say, more than 50% of our Leoque furniture end up in Philippine condominium units. More than any other market, we would really want to be one of the best stores that serve the condominium furniture in the Philippines. Some of the items we have like side tables, center tables, storage furniture and most especially 2-seater, 3 seater dining tables are geared towards condominium interiors. We try to put balance in the furniture we offer. Meaning, while we know that space is premium in condo living thus we watch the size of the furniture, we still make sure that these “mini” furniture will still be functional & really be appealing still.
